9-Jan-08: I work in a coffee shop and have a few regular customers. One of them chatted me up and found out that in 2 months I will continuing my backpacking travel, and gave me a farewell present: A lonely Planet Guide to Europe, with a PIF card. I decided I will pass it forward at the end of my trip, when I will give the book to one of the people at the last hostel I will be staying at. -Chrissy

I love this site. As a fan of Catherine Ryan Hyde and her book Pay It Forward, and the movie made from it, I enrolled in her site and now we even trade our latest books with each other.
Now I have found this site too! The Pass It Forward term I especially like. It seems like “passing a baton” like in a track race.
So here is my “Pass It Forward” Good deed:
When I was in the 4th grade and 7th grade, I had two very extraordinary and pivital teachers who helped me develop a love of reading and helped me to become “Hooked on Books”. I now try in this life, with all of my might, to do the same for kids everywhere, so they in turn can “Pass the Baton” on to others…
My latest book Champion ISBN 0741444186 is designed to help kids, (Big and Little) to Love Reading and to become “Hooked on Books”.)
All my best to everyone in here,
Miles Cobett

Yesterday I read the stories of acts of kindness in the December edition of the Readers Digest and felt very inspired to make this a part of life.
Today, I arrived at work only to be shown a great example of this generosity.
Last week my boss won a prize at our company Christmas function. This prize was a weekend away and everyone wished they had won.
This morning, she came to me and gave me her prize. I did not know how to react. Only after reading these stories in the Readers Digest, I realized that she wished me to have this gift, and if I refused to take it, I would be taking away her sense of doing good and wellbeing. I can only say a huge big thank you and wish all good thing for you.
I know that I will certainly be passing on some good deeds from this random act of kindness.
